What if AI helped people become creators instead of consumers?
Imagine if the default answer to, I wish this existed, stopped being, oh well. And became: give me an hour.
The lesson
For a century, making things at scale belonged to people with training, teams, and capital. Everyone else watched. Now the wall has a door in it. What happens when a nurse can build the tool her ward actually needs? When a retiree publishes the history of his block? When making things stops being a profession, and goes back to being a human default? I don't know the full answer. But I know I want to live in the place that finds out.
Try it — 60 seconds
Here's something I wish existed. Don't tell me why it's hard — tell me what version of it we could have working by Sunday.
Copy it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — whichever you already use. Fill in the brackets with your real life.
Watch out
A world of makers still needs finishers. Starting is about to be free. Finishing will still cost what it always has.
