Why AI feels smarter the longer you talk
The tenth answer is almost always better than the first. That's context, not magic.
The lesson
At message one, AI knows nothing about you, so you get the generic answer — the one written for everyone. But every message teaches it something: your situation, your taste, what you rejected. By message ten, it's answering your question, not the internet's average. Stay in one chat while you work on one thing. The context is the value.
Try it — 60 seconds
In a chat where we've already worked through something real, ask: "Given everything in this conversation so far, what am I actually trying to do — and what am I missing?"
Copy it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — whichever you already use. Fill in the brackets with your real life.
Watch out
Long conversations drift — old details fade quietly. New project, new chat. One thread per thing.
