Dump your to-do list in. Seriously.

Your list has groceries next to taxes next to a word that only made sense three weeks ago. Don't clean it up first. Dump it in as-is.

The lesson

Paste the whole mess, typos and all, and ask for three buckets: today, this week, can wait. Seconds later it's sorted, with the too-vague items flagged. It will get some priorities wrong — it can't know your deadlines — so tell it, and watch it re-sort. You never organized anything. You just answered questions.

Try it — 60 seconds

This is my real to-do list, mess and all: [paste it]. Sort it into today / this week / can wait. Flag anything too vague to act on, and ask me about anything you can't judge.

Copy it into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — whichever you already use. Fill in the brackets with your real life.

Watch out

It sorts. You decide. It doesn't know your deadlines until you say them — the final order is always yours.
